               not even a week ago, josh had been ready to commit to mj. he thought he was going to be a father and that changed him and how he looked at things. he was willing to grow up and be there for her every step of the way if it was his. if there was anyone he could make it work with and he’d give up all the girls and partying for it was her. finding out it wasn’t real had been crushing —– even if he hid it —– but it did put things into perspective for him.“ you don’t mean that.. ” he says in denial. it might not have worked out the first time between them but he believed in second chances ( damn those matthews genes ). “look me in the eye and tell me you don’ think there’s a chance we could actually work this time around. that you don’t feel anything for me at all. ” maybe he should’ve quit and give her what she wanted but josh wasn’t one to give up without a fight.
